GRADES 1-4

IMPORTANT DATES IN AUGUST

Aug. 1 - Placement letters get mailed *

Aug. 28 - 1:30 - 2:30 - NEW FAMILY orientation for any family that registered over the summer - meet the principal, get general information, answer questions, take a tour with time to play on the playgrounds at the end!

Aug. 30 - 11:00 - 12:00 - OPEN HOUSE for all families in grade 1-4 - find your new classroom, meet your teacher, bring in supplies so you donít have to carry them on the bus the next day!

Aug. 31 - 8:30 - 2:55 - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for grade 1-4. †

KINDERGARTEN and PreK

IMPORTANT DATES IN AUGUST

Aug. 1 - Reminder letters get mailed to Kindergarteners - includes screening date, supply list, orientation invitations, etc. †If you have not turned in all of the registration paperwork you will not receive a letter so give us a call. *

Aug. 28 - 12:00 - 1:00 - FAMILY ORIENTATION - K and PreK †- meet the principal, get general information, answer questions, take a tour with time to play on the playgrounds at the end!

Aug. 31 - Sept. 2 - K SCREENING by appointment - please call if you do not have an appointment †(PreK should already have been done. †If not, please call!)

Sept. 2 - 1:00 - 2:00 - OPEN HOUSE for all K and PreK families - find out who your childís teacher will be, find your new classroom, meet your teacher, bring in supplies so you donít have to carry them on the bus on Sept. 6!

Sept. 6 - 8:30 - 2:55 - 1st Day of School for all K and PreK students. †K Parents may bring students on the first day and we will meet in the cafeteria. †Once all students have arrived and found their teachers the children will say goodbye to parents and proceed to class with their teachers. †

Sept. 6 - 1st Day of School for PreK students - follow arrival procedures supplied by your teacher for either AM or PM sessions

Things to remember as school gets started in the fall

  • Buses will be unpredictable for the first couple of weeks as drivers and students get settled into routines, crowded buses get changed and especially on Sept. 6 when K students start!

  • Parents are allowed in the building on the first two days of school but then we will ask you to let your child make his/her way to class on their own with friends. †We will have many staff members in the hallway helping students find their new classrooms. †This is a safety precaution.

  • Please contact the office if you have moved over the summer to everything can be ready for the first day of school.

  • If you are new, please come to the Main Office between 8:00 - 12:00 to register your K-4 student. †Call for information about PreK​

Student Handbook

Below please find a link to our Student Handbook. †A summary will be coming home with children that will include the sign off sheet that they have read it. Parents should pay special attention to the section of the handbook about Arrival/Dismissal, Family Dismissal Numbers, the NEW Attendance Policy, and Home/School Communication. †Thank you and have a great school year!
